Crafty Cow - Burgers & Fried Chicken

We arrived at 1pm and ordered immediately because we needed a quick lunch. Food was not delivered to the table until 2pm!!! Some workers came in at 1:40pm and were served their appetizers before we got any food. Which was interesting because our meal came with appetizers also but were served on the tray with the main course. Server was friendly but the wait time on the food was insane. When the food arrived, it was very bland. Which I can see other reviewers here have stated. I saw this place on TMJ4 and it looked great so that is how we became aware of it. But the food was not what I would consider tasty. The breading in the chicken sandwich is a bit thick. It actually broke away from the chicken and the breast beneath was significantly thinner. The fries and chips were extremely hard.

Finally decided to try this place after passing by so many times? Thanks to a FB post I had a buy one get one free burger coupon. Ordered cheese curds as well . I had the crafty classic and the wife had the dirtiest swiss.. Before I start with the food, I was a little concerned with the place being so dead, but nonetheless, the curds came out first and those were very good ( Maybe leave in fryer a little longer as bottoms got soggy quickly ) but we're very crisp and not overly salty like some curds can be. ( Ranch was amazing too BTW ) Next up came the burgers and I was so excited to see shoestring fries, but they could've executed them a little better, ( dropping them right as the burgers are being dressed especially if the kitchen isnt as busy ) would ensure a fresher and hotter taste.

Sorry for the gross photo of after we were done but we were hungry and forgot to take a picture before we started eating. Let’s start with the good, staff was very pleasant and nice. Also please keep in mind this review is my own opinion. Normally if we go somewhere and there is a breakfast burrito on the menu we will order it, Not here. Who puts corn in a breakfast burrito? Then no meat in a “Cali” breakfast burrito? I’m from Cali, I don’t think they serve breakfast burritos without meat lol. Also if you’re serving a “Cali breakfast burrito” you need to have some salsas to back up that claim. I didn’t try it but I wouldn’t expect much from it. I've been wanting to try the Thursday cheap date night for awhile as I've delivered Uber Eats orders from here before, but never tried it myself until now. Honestly, I was pretty disappointed. We waited 10 minutes at the front for someone to come greet and seat us after having made a reservation and another 20 minutes just to get our appetizer. The food was all mediocre and completely unseasoned. We even had to salt the chips and fries ourselves because they were bland. And the date was not that "cheap" either as the total with tax and an average tip came out to over $60 with just the date night price and one drink each. The waitress was very friendly at least. I would not eat here again.
