We walked past this place on our way back to the hotel and I immediately knew we had to stop. I’m a total soft-serve ice cream person and the toppings pulled me right in. They had Nutella, peanut butter, and Biscoff cookie butter. Simple but perfect. The vanilla soft serve was really good and the cones are what make this place special. They fresh-make warm cinnamon sugar crispy cones, spread your choice inside the cone, fill it with ice cream, and then you can add toppings on the outside too. I kept it simple and did Nutella inside the cone and Nutella on top. It was honestly fantastic. Super cute little shop, great customer service, and fun options without being over complicated. Definitely worth stopping if you’re nearby. Went back for round two and added photos of our second round o
Since this place is new to Oceanside, I expected it to be pretty busy, but I’m not sure the wait was worth the service or the items. I waited about 40 minutes, which I normally don’t mind if the ice cream is great. My group ordered three items, and the total came out to $38. Two of us got the Cocoa Berry cone, which was about $10 each. I’d recommend they work on consistency. My cone only had four strawberries (and one even fell off), while my friend’s had about seven. They also ran out of the cups they had been giving to customers ahead of us during that 40-minute wait. I noticed the customers before us received really big servings, but by the time they got to us, the portions were noticeably smaller. I’m not sure if it was because they ran out of cups or something else. Aside from that,
Wow, what a fun place with fun food. I was there on the opening day and there was a long line, but my order was handed to me very quickly. We will be back soon to try all their specials and flavors. I loved the pastry cone with the cookie butter spread.
If you haven’t been to Crispy Cones, you are seriously missing out. This place is pure happiness in dessert form! From the moment you walk in, it smells like warm, freshly baked dough — sweet, buttery, and absolutely irresistible. Their signature cones are perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, rolled fresh and filled with creamy, dreamy soft serve. Every bite is the perfect balance of warm and cold, crunchy and smooth. The toppings are generous, fun, and totally customizable — whether you’re in the mood for classic flavors or something a little over-the-top indulgent. Not only is the dessert delicious, but the whole experience is delightful. The staff is friendly, upbeat, and genuinely excited to help you create your perfect cone. The vibe is bright, clean, and Instagram-w
After seeing the outrageous line at Crispy Cones, I was really hoping it would live up to the hype. Unfortunately, it falls a bit short. The Good: The cone itself is genuinely great - crispy, fresh, and flavorful. The ice cream flavors are good and enjoyable. Pricing is competitive with other specialty ice cream shops in the area. The Not-So-Good: The ice cream quality is just okay - nothing exceptional that sets it apart from other local spots. The selection is surprisingly limited for a specialty shop, which was disappointing. Bottom Line: It’s decent ice cream with a standout cone, but I wouldn’t wait in that line again. If I’m in the area and there’s no wait, I’d stop by. Otherwise, there are other great ice cream options in Carlsbad that offer better quality and variety without the cr
