Crosswinds Restaurant

had to make a connection at New York Nantucket Airport to Hyannis, so I spent a few hours there. What a relief to have this restaurant located inside the airport, making my layover much more comfortable and pleasant. The place is cute. I was attended by Helena, who is originally from Macedonia, and she was wonderful. Super friendly, willing, helped me a lot, super attentive to everything I needed, and made wonderful suggestions. I ordered their Special CFC crosswinds fried chicken, which was crispy and juicy, and the mountain lava cake, which was deliciously perfect. If I go through this airport again, I will definitely eat here, I don't even need to look for restaurants in Nantucket. Helena was wonderful and even helped me by lending me a cell phone charger. They should update their business hours. Supposedly they are open until 9 o’clock. I went at 8:40pm after I flew in and the door was locked. I saw a man inside, he didn’t even acknowledge me. I tried calling, they didn’t even answer. I just wanted to quick burger to go, which shouldn’t have been an issue if they are open until nine.

The food was REALLY good. They serve breakfast items until 130pm so I had a veggie omelet, sliced tomato and rye toast. Service was quick and the planes departing never gets old.

I was quite impressed with the food and service, especially considering the limited space of the airport. It was surprising to learn that many of the diners were not even flyers; they had come solely for the food. That alone should be a testament to the quality of the food.

Landing or Leaving from Nantucket Airport? This is the best place to have that pre drink flight. Looking for a place to have no crowds with great food? This is it. I work at Ack Natural Cannabis Dispensary next door and I go all the time. It’s great.
