Cuda's Milkpot

First time trying this establishment, ordered via Doordash. I ordered the meatloaf plate and opted for mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese and greens. I also ordered a slice of 7up cake. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes were good, even my daughter liked it and she normally does not like meatloaf. The macaroni and cheese was truthfully not very good. It lacked cheese and something was a bit off about it. The greens weren't horrible but definitely could have used a bit more seasoning, maybe a little salt. The flavor you would normally get from greens just wasn't there. The 7up cake was horrible. I grew up eating my mom's homemade 7up cake and the cake I received tasted sour or spoiled. Like the cake itself was spoiled. For $7.00 a slice, I would like fresh cake. She gets 3 stars for the mea

Fresh, hot, flavorful, enjoyably refreshing to have soul food in Spring area. My daughters and I along with my G- baby had a fingerlicking feast for our Sunday meal. Fried fish, meatloaf, smothered turkey necks over rice, and crispy perfectly seasoned chicken wings. The Mac n Cheese, greens beans, red beans, yams and collard greens did not miss a beat! Ms Cuda even had homemade Banana Pudding. Cuda....woulda...shoulda...YESSSSS U should!!!

Was riding down the road and had to bust a U when I saw the sign for “Soul Food”. I ordered the fish plate with ham hock mac & cheese candied yams. The owner of this establishment broke her foot off in this meal! 11/10. Everything was made with love like it was my mama. Being from the Deep South, this was a pleasant meal of nostalgia that brought back memories of my Memaw’s kitchen when she was whipping up collards and fried chicken. The fish was breaded and seasoned perfectly. Great texture. It didn’t even need tartar sauce! The yams were heavenly! The Mac and cheese was full of meat and creamy. Very well balanced. The owner even gave me a free homemade peach tea and banana pudding. She named this place after her son, and she puts that same love into the food. Check this place

Stopped by yesterday after seeing there was a closer soulfood spot to me now instead of driving way to hwy 6. And was instantly happy. The lady was so nice. I got the fish plate yams and Mac & cheese. I’m from NOLA and have to be 100% the best thing on the plate was the fish and it was 7/10. The mac&cheese looked good but it had no Flavor not even salt & pepper. The yams were hard, and I mean all of them. There’s no way who ever cooked this was satisfied or they cooked it and didn’t try to test their food or just didn’t care. They would have seen how hard those yams were. They could’ve had the yams in the back still slow cooking. It was a good taste but was not fully cooked. The cornbread looked good and was soft but it had no taste. Gave it a four chicken wings were good could have used a Lil more seasoning but still good, the greens perfect could've had double of it.. now the mac and cheese was missing a lot of seasoning and cheese ... that's why I took a point off and last the cornbread and 7up cake was definitely my top behind the greens will be back.....
