CURRY NATION - INDIAN RESTAURANT & CATERING

We started the meal with the vegetarian samosas and the shrimp tikamasala, both came out fresh from the kitchen and were super flavorful. As our entrees, we had lamb tikamasala, the saag, the garlic cheese naan, and a side of rice. All were made fresh to order and had such depth in flavors. Along with the amazing food, the service was diligent and the atmosphere was clean and calm. Highly recommend this place for every occasion or for carry out! We will be back!

Curry Nation is newly opened, and we had a great experience. The food was fast, fresh, and full of flavor. The staff went above and beyond to provide excellent service and took the time to recommend some of their best dishes. We were a group of six, arrived very hungry, and ended up finishing everything we ordered — that says a lot! Special thanks to Neeraj and Pooja for making sure everything was just right. The naans truly stood out — soft, fresh, and easily the best of the meal. We ordered gobi manchurian (4.5/5), chicken 65 (4/5), goat karahi (4/5), kaju mushroom (4.5/5), naan (5/5), and lime soda (5/5). We’re on a trip to LA and San Diego and stopped by since it’s very close to the San Diego Zoo and USS Midway. Definitely worth the visit, and we’ll be coming back again!

the food here does NOT disappoint!! it is so freaking yummy i’m salivating just writing this review and reminiscing on it. i got the vegetable samosas, butter chicken, paneer butter masala, and the chef naan basket 10/10 all around!! atmosphere was amazing and the waiter was so nice and attentive i LOVE!!!

Friendly staff welcomed and accommodated our large party of 9. We got a few dishes, sides, appetizer and they were all really fresh! I got the butter chicken and garlic naan. The butter chicken was more on the tomato side and similar to the tikka masala, which someone in our group also got. I typically like it on the creamier side but that’s just my preference. The garlic and cheese naan was very fresh and delicious. Good portions and great for sharing.

We had an absolutely wonderful meal at Curry Nation in Hillcrest! From start to finish, everything we tried was delicious — the flavors were rich and satisfying, and each dish felt thoughtfully prepared. The menu offers a great variety of classic Indian favorites, and everything we ordered exceeded expectations. The service was excellent too — attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Whether you’re coming for a casual dinner or something a bit more special, this spot delivers on both food and hospitality. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
