You are met with gospel on the radio and great counter service it’s just pick up and go. My thoughts: Cabbage was pretty good, not mad at it Greens standard, not sweet and very tender Green beans were sweet and had a tiny tiny kick Black eyed peas were clean, not a lot of fuss Mac n cheese was on point The uptown was perfectly sweet Very straight forward food, not a lot of new embellishments or new age recipes. Great place for catering if you ask me. I would get a tray from this place. It’s as good as expected in the best way. This place is the standard, excellent price point, it feels very much at home. If I am in the area I would go again

This place is absolutely incredible! The portions are huge, the pasta is made with real cheese, the beef is unbelievably delicious, the stewed cabbage is amazing, and they even serve some kind of bread that’s just delightful. It was my first time here, and unfortunately, I was just passing through for work. But they helped me choose what to order since I wasn’t sure, and everything was a solid 100 out of 100. I absolutely recommend this place!

Amazing comfort cuisine! The spot feels calm and simple, yet every plate tastes top-tier. The legumes are cooked with stunning precision, just like all the other dishes. Truly delightful every mouthful made me smile!

This is fantastic soul food! The place is very low-key, but super high-class food. The Lima beans are perfectly cooked, along with everything else. Wow, this is so good! The only thing this meal is missing is a nap!
