Daddy Dave's Sports Bar / Slammin Sammy’s Oyster Bar

Amazing new deli in Washington was outstanding. First we were greeted by the friendly staff. The restaurant was full but our service was excellent. The atmosphere was super nice with TVs to watch all around and very clean too. And the food was excellent. We had the chicken salad, corned beef and chips and queso. Very generous portions and delicious.

I'm sorry to say. We had potato skins, seemed over cooked. Nachos had a different cheese than what I was thinking, OK different. I had Th Dave sandwich. Something did not taste right. My wife had the Danny's Pilly. Way to much cheese. We had both had the sweet tea. I don't know wat happened but we both felt sick 10 minutes later. I'm sorry for the review. Also can you do something about the men's bathroom with the temporary cover over the toilet hole.

This place was good when it was “Daddy Dave’s.” We would often come here on Sundays for lunch because they offered free meals for kids. Now, they have merged with Slamming Sammy’s! Sadly, it’s now overpriced! They offer no lunch specials as they did before the merger. I tried to order 12 wings with two sauces. I was told they can’t do two sauces. So, they would come naked, and I could dip them in the two sauces. Oh, those naked wings were $16 bucks! Absurd and ridiculous! If you like average quality and overpriced food, it’s the place for you.

I love the new location! Great place to watch a game and have great food. So far I have been here twice in 2 weeks. Waitstaff were great, very attentive and checked in frequently. I have had the Cobb salad and Chef salad. Both full of an abundant amount of ingredients as oppose to some places that give you mostly lettuce. Dressings were good and she offered more if I needed it. I again had my Pee Dee Punch ( think that is name). Hit the spot in the beverage category. I hear future plans of additional TV’s etc and look forward to the ongoing additions. I like the purple room with the big screen. Would make a good group gathering to watch an ECU game.

Don't let the initial appearance fool you. This place is a hidden gem. It's fairly new, but I'm excited to see it grow. Sandwiches are well put together, fairly large, and have a great appearance. The taste is nothing short of outstanding. This is my new go-to for sandwiches.
