Customer Reviews
I have been a Dad’s regular since they arrived in Anniston but I probably won’t be back- we went up to the restaurant on Thursday evening 2-26 at 7:40 pm and was asked by the girl at hostess stand “ Are yall trying to eat inside” and I responded yes and she tried to discourage us to eat inside “ because we are closing in 20 minutes” . I have owned a restaurant in this area and we never turned down business unless we were actually already closed- if you are going to claim you are open til 8:00 the establishment should always gladly wait on your valued customers if they are seated before closing time- I can’t rate the food because we never ate. Please teach your employees customer service skills before there is no customers coming back to eat.
We have enjoyed Dads BBQ since it opened. But, we went for a late lunch yesterday and it was the second time my food was not right. I ordered ribs and a baked potato. While our waitress was great the meal was not. Ribs were cold period! The baked potato was luke warm wouldn’t melt the butter. The last time we went i ordered the loaded haystack fries and they were cold. Dads I’ve tasted so much better! Please serve HOT FOOD! By the way the hostess needs to be at her station to greet customers when they come in!
Sandwiches were tiny, fries were average. Mom had the bbq pork and said it was like mush, like eating meat someone else had already chewed. She had requested it be mixed chopped when she ordered, there was no attempt to make it the way she ordered. She did not like the fries at all. She did say the sweet tea was good. The onion rings were the best thing we got, they were excellent. The smoked chicken sandwich came with lettuce, tomato & mayo and no bbq sauce. No explanation whatsoever on the menu, I was expecting a bbq chicken sandwich so was completely disappointed. I am allergic to tomato. The drive thru personnel was not the least bit friendly. Food was very overpriced to still be hungry when we were done.
The sandwiches are small, they charged for a cup of water and the the Mac and cheese was old, greasy and a little tough. This is not what was expected, left hungry and paid as if I went to a great restaurant. Very disappointed
Was recommended to come and try out their fried green tomatoes. Not a fan at all of the food. Extremely greasy and heavily salted. The chicken had no seasoning and though the staff was friendly they didn’t check up to see how we were doing or needed something.
