Dairy Queen Grill & Chill

I was so excited to get Dairy Queen tonight. Unfortunately the Oreo cheesecake blizzard I ordered was not correct. The Oreo was accurate, but instead of cheesecake pieces, they gave me sugar cookie pieces. Very disappointing. They also didn’t do the traditional turn it upside down to show how thick it was. This location needs to do better or train their staff better.

We went there for the Blizzard. The gentleman working the counter was very friendly and was making sure the orders were correct. He got our Blizzard’s and they came out perfect. This same gentleman went around the dining room and was asking if everyone was good. You never see this in a fast food restaurant anymore so it was very pleasant to see. The restaurant was very clean.

The drive thru was pretty nice. I also asked about the customary flipping the ice cream but they stated that this location does not do it anymore due to their machines. So honestly I don't get why the other reviews dont ask instead of giving them a bad review 😅. But I do love the girl in the window, she's very nice.

We’ve been great fans of Dairy Queen for years, so our experience with this Dairy Queen was a tremendous disappointment! I ordered the new Peppermint Bark Blizzard and not only was there little to no taste of peppermint, there were hardly any chocolate or ‘peppermint’ pieces even in it! On top of that the ice cream was very soft, quickly became soupy and was grainy to boot! No wonder the server didn’t turn the blizzard upside down to serve it!! We were very, very unhappy!!

I'm specifically making this review to praise the staff working on the evening of Sunday July 7th. They were understaffed and slammed. The place was insanely busy and they were clearly overwhelmed. Everything was taking forever and customers were not always being understanding but the staff remained kind, friendly, and patient with everyone. They kept smiles on their faces and tried their best. I used it as a teaching example for my teen daughter. When a business is understaffed and overwhelmed there is nothing they can do to move any faster and being rude to them is not going to help anything. This, now, is more of a time to be extra kind than ever. We each had a peanut butter Blizzard. They were fine. Fast food isn't really my thing. We were celebrating and stopped for some ice cream. I
