Damascus Sweets

I was in the neighborhood and wandered in as I was craving honey and pistachio flavored sweets (like baklava). There are many, many kinds of pastries and sweets here. I wanted to try several, but I ended up getting two different ones and they were superb. There isn't any seating here, so one comes in to buy and leave. That said, I'm definitely coming back next time I'm in the area.

I have gotten sweet platters for various work holiday parties through the years. They are always delicious and a hit! The staff usually helps me from the sidewalk since I walk my dogs to their establishment and are always so cordial and helpful. Highly recommend. Picture doesn’t do justice.

I Was in the area at 11:30pm on a Tuesday craving something sweet. There’s one or two other few dessert shops in the area but I didn’t want anything too heavy. Randomly saw this place and wandered in. Wow what an assortment. The place was FILLED with a variety of fresh desserts. I never seen any of these types of desserts. I had no idea what to Get. The guy inside saw how intimated I was and without any hesitation or prompt started offering me samples. Try this, try this. I had a handful of sample desserts within minutes. And They were very good. I had Nut layers, syrup soaks, jam filled, he kinda gave me literally everything. The samples alone Definitely Solved my sweet tooth. I was dying to try the sweets from this place. Finally made it here. I have to say I got a couple of pieces of baklava and they were so heavenly. Sweet, tasty slight crisp, perfection. I ate most of them and only left one to take a photo. I also got the Dubai chocolate everyone has been talking about. It was ok, the baklava was better. Will def come back to try other sweets from here .

Extremely Disappointing - Quality has dropped significantly ​"I have been a loyal customer of this shop for a long time, but my last two visits were a complete disaster. ​The first time, I bought a cake that tasted spoiled and disgusting, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt, thinking it was just a one-time mistake. Yesterday, I brought my friends to introduce them to the shop and bought a large quantity of Basbousa with Cream. To my absolute horror and embarrassment, it tasted bitter and was completely inedible. ​It is truly disappointing to see such a lack of quality control, especially when you are hosting guests. I won't be returning until they take food safety and freshness seriously. Save your money and go elsewhere!"
