Danny's Deli - Jacumba

We stopped at Danny’s Deli on our way from TX to CA and boy it did not disappoint. We decided to go because of the stellar reviews and all of our expectations were met. Danny was incredibly warm and welcoming. He clearly is very passionate about making great food and building community. We tried the veggie sandwich and he recommended adding some peppers and hot mayo that definitely elevated the taste profile - and I have to say it was one of the best veggie sandwiches I’ve had in my life. My partner got a roast beef sandwich that he loved as well. The sandwiches were giant and neither of us could finish but happily took the rest home for leftovers (the bread did get a little soggy hours later but I still ate every bite cause it was just so dang good). Excellent spot to stop by if you want a quick lunch. The sandwiches were huge and delicious. Danny was super welcoming and gave us some recommendations of spots to go to in the area as well. Highly recommend.

Great everything! Danny the owner is great guy, and his employee took care of us with outstanding service. His homemade strawberry jalapeño cheesecake is amazing, a must try. Sandwiches are delicious

Not surprised to see the rave reviews. We went in for some sodas but the deli smelled so good we had to get a sandwich. The sandwich artist was super friendly, he ranked up there with service that we'll remember forever, (along with an Italian restaurant in Juarez and a cenaduria in Cd Mante.) We enjoyed eating the delicious sandwich in the park nearby. Great time in Jacumba, gives us a reason to come back!

Everything about this place was heartfelt deliciousness. Loved the conversation, the pizza and sandwiches were so yummy and generous, and the support and love for the local community was cherry on top. Enjoyed every part of my experience. Real good food and real good people. Must try.
