Dave’s Hot Chicken

Dave’s Hot Chicken is an easy 10/10 for me. My go to is the Medium spice. It’s really not that hot but it has the most flavor in my opinion. You get all the seasoning without the heat overpowering the food. I love the sliders, and they are always generous with the extra pickles, which I love. The fries deserve special recognition. Soft in the center with the perfect crisp on the outside and easily the best seasoned fries I have had anywhere. I like them so much that I eat the fries plain because they’re that good. Dave’s Sauce has to be one of the best sauces of any fast food chain. Huge shoutout to Manager Phil for amazing customer service and for constantly checking in with everyone. The establishment is clean, efficient, and produces great quality every time. Highly recommend!

I got mild, my husband got the extra spicy. Very crispy and appropriate level of spiciness for each of us. Fries were good too. The place seemed packed but we were able to find a table to sit at no problem.

Tasty food, moderate pricing. The graffiti/murals are a nice touch. Decent amount of seating. The staff is really friendly. All chicken comes in a range of spice; from none to Reaper. As a heat connoisseur, most of the offerings are a good flavor, without much heat. That said, there is a significant jump in spice and heat from extreme to Reaper. So much so, that you must sign a waiver in order to order/eat it. Their tenders are pretty big. Fries are good too, crinkle cut and crispy. Beyond that, there are moderate options of fountain drinks, juice drinks (with/without popping bubbles) and milkshakes with toppings such as Lucky Charms, Oreos, M&Ms, and I believe Butterfingers.

Our 1st experience with Dave's Hot Chicken was in Greenville, SC and it was amazing. I wasn't really expecting the same level of customer service in Newington as we experienced in the south; I was wrong. Phil and Mike were so amazing, professional, and friendly. Customer service doesn't exist much these days but Dave's Hot Chicken brings it back with a smile on their face! The food is absolutely delicious with so many spice levels to choose from; mine is extra hot!

This is the best chicken spot you will ever find. From the excellent service courtesy of Nivea with her upbeat polite and cheerful charismatic attitude to there delicious crispy flavorful chicken. They truly are the spot to beat with an all around stupendous 5 Star+ if you ask me.
