Dave's Seafood & Subs

I ordered the Trout platter at Dave’s Seafood and was extremely disappointed. The fish was unbelievably bland, and to make matters worse, even the hot sauce had no flavor. I’ve never had a meal so lacking in taste. If you’re looking for good food, this is definitely not the place. I do not recommend it.

When I say 10 out of 10! I truly mean it. My first time coming here. Every part of my meal was on point! Collard Greens seasoned just right. Shrimp and Scallops fried to perfection! Mac and Cheese very cheesy! Even the Sweet Tea had just the right amount of sugar in it! Prices are great for what you get! Definitely a Top Tier Food Spot!

The service was good but the food was disappointing. So the catfish is actually Swai and that was a turn-off. I got the three fish combo and, while I was able to see the difference, I wasn't able to taste the difference. The mashed potatoes were made from boxed flakes and for the price, I felt things could have been a higher quality. This all seemed to be cafeteria food. Unfortunately, once was enough.

Service was excellent but food was not the best. Called and placed order. Asked about curbside pickup, she said come inside to pickup order, if vaccinated, no mask required, if not vaccinated, then please wear mask or face covering. I asked for tartar sauce, she gave me 2 packs of tartar sauce. Asked if I needed ketchup, more tartar sauce and forks. I asked for 2 more tartar sauce, she gave 2 more tartar sauce. She told me to get an apple juice out of the refrigerator for the kids meal.

Simple "no thrills" place but tasty food. While most restaurants have had to raise prices across the board, this restaurant has kept prices very reasonable. Not easy to find affordable seafood in Northern Virginia. If you don't mind it being fried, this is a place to check out.
