Davis Library

The MCPL Davis Library is a wonderful community resource. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and patient, whether you’re looking for a book, using the computers, or needing help with printing. The building is clean, quiet, and well-organized, with plenty of seating and study spaces. They have a great children’s section, engaging programs for all ages, and a wide selection of books and digital resources. It’s a welcoming place that makes learning and reading enjoyable.

Our libraries are so great in this area. I use them to study a lot and the only down side at this location (just so you have a heads up) is that after high school gets out it gets very noisy crowded and busy. They do have a quiet study room but it does fill up too sometimes when it's busy. Other than that I love this library so much and am so grateful to have a community resource like this. I just try to use a different library if I know I'm going to be there around 2/3pm on a weekday and I need to focus without interuptions.

I took my son to "Block Party," a play event for kids under 5. I was the only dad there, which was fine because things like that don't usually bother me. But then I noticed the librarian seemed to be keeping tabs on me, even following us when we moved to the couch area and sitting down across from me, as though I was suspicious to her because I was the only man in the room. I did not realize that sitting on the couch watching patrons of the library was a part of a librarians job, so you can imagine my confusion. I could be wrong, but regardless I felt uncomfortable, and we left. There are plenty of other libraries in Montgomery County.

I went a few months ago when there was a black out. Their system was down. The staff was very helpful and kind at helping me find the book I was looking for.

The Davis library is a wonderful resource for our local community with excellent librarians and excellent holdings. The friends of the public library book shop is phenomenal. I visit there regularly. Kudos to Montgomery County Public library.
