Never had a bad experience until yesterday. My waiter must of had to much on her hands. My fish was nasty I even put salt and pepper on it to try to give it flavor. That didn't even help. I had to call for another waiter in which was very helpful.

Great food at a really affordable price. I've been here several times with my grandma and always enjoy it. I normally go for the seafood but the fried chicken is very good and a popular choice as well. The restraint has been a staple for locals for decades and never disappoints. It's a nice relaxed place for lunch and dinner.

Fried catfish was mushy, mac and cheese bland BTW hey waitress...check please oh and also "we still waiting on that refill" not to mention my cousin flounder aint flounder-ing. Can you reopen the blinds and let some sun in to let us warm up a lil bit please.

Dayton’s Restaurant is an absolute gem for breakfast, brunch, or lunch, offering incredibly affordable prices that make every visit a steal! The warm and welcoming crew creates a fantastic vibe, and the menu shines with a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. We loved the BLT and bacon cheeseburger with mashed potatoes and Salisbury gravy—both were fantastic! The space is clean, tidy, with ample seating, and there’s plenty of parking to make your visit hassle-free. Highly recommend this budget-friendly spot!

I ordered the crab cakes for the first time broiled and have no complaints! You get 2 and they are a very nice size. I LOVE the turnip greens, so for my 2 sides I got a double order. The cornbread was very good. My daughter got the half roasted chicken with stuffing, turnip greens and candied yams! She has no complaints either. Look at photos! I recommend! Our Server Angela was awesome, friendly and communicated with a smile!
