Daytrip Counter

My friend recommended this place to me so I decided to give it a try. I heard the owners remodeled this place and they had a whole new menu. I am so glad that I came by to give this spot a try. I love the yellow esthetic colors of the restaurant and yellow decorated ambiance! It makes you happy and is so welcoming! I ordered the combo meal to go and got a side of cauliflower, two salads and a half a chicken. The prices are very affordable and you have enough food to feed at least 3-4 people! In this economy I will gladly take it! The chicken was super moist and well seasoned! I was super happy that the chicken was hitting. The salads were huge and very filling with the dinosaur kale and romaine lettuce. I wished the portion size of the dressings were bigger because I like my salads on

Bangin’ salads, juicy chicken, hot fries. Though different than the original Daytrip, Daytrip Counter offers fully loaded salads, rotisserie chicken, natty wine, fries and more. We ordered the basil caesar salad and the crispy spicy bowl, both offering tons of flavor, texture and crunch. For the sides we got an order of the Caesar fries, which were seasoned to perfection, and the brothy gigante beans (pretty much chicken broth soup with huge beans lol). Didn’t order the rotisserie chicken this time but last time I had it, I paired it with the Thai chili and lime butter and i felt like it would have been perfect with a side of white rice. Nonetheless, glad Daytrip is back, though in a new fashion!

Have always loved the food at Day Trip in its various incarnations. Now, as DayTrip Counter, it’s serving up delicious rotisserie chicken, salads and sides. For lunch we shared (2 of us) combo #1: half chicken, salad or bowl, side and sauce. We got the Club Med salad, the sesame cauliflower side, and Thai chili lime butter for the sauce. Everything was delish, and for lunch you can get a booth! Generous portions. Organic and healthy.

The chicken in Schmaltz sauce is through the roof great! Some of the best roasted chicken in the Bay Area. The salads are wonderful and the sesame salted cookies stand out as amongst the best desserts ever. Don’t miss this place. It’s both wonderful for grown-ups and for kids.

I think about Daytrip so often. I was so sad when V1 closed but damn, this iteration is really hitting exactly what I wanted. The chicken is OBVI great, but the salads… THE SALADS! I’ve had all of them. I love all of them. The caesar is my #1 half of the time/ crispy spicy the other half. don’t sleep on the cookie. i could eat that cookie every day until I die.
