Customer Reviews
Review is for the take away market (never eaten in the restaurant). Love to jot in for bags of fresh boiled shrimp, whole potatoes and corn. Clerks are fast and the all boiled food are cooked in deliciousness while seemingly not overly salty as other establishments tend to do. Yet I have no idea what sodium counts are, wish it were posted, but I should ask. The potato salad in their fridge is also delicious - when available - they are too often out. Open late and easy parking.
The food was okay but nothing to brag about. The restaurant thinks highly of its bread pudding but don’t try it. It’s like a biscuit with sauce and nuts. When it came time for billing, we had a table 9 people but everyone couldn’t get an individual check. The representative waiting on us said he couldn’t only provide 4 tickets because it was restaurant policy. That’s the first one for me and I’ve dined all over the world. Lastly the manager was not very user friendly because he watched his staff like they were thieves plus he watched the two tables in my party of 15 like he’s never seen a large group or that we may leave without settling the bill. Hence I don’t recommend this restaurant.
This is still one of the top spots for fried seafood! Atmosphere of not only the neighborhood, but the restaurant makes you feel like you stepped back in time!
Ordered the fried shrimp (shrimp were hard) Crawfish had a little flavor Also was charged a $14 service fee however on the site it shows the service fee is for a party of 5 We were a party of 4 with two separate checks our waiter was rude, rushed us and kept trying to leave the table in a hurry while we were ordering We weren’t even offered to go drinks we did not have a good experience at all
Just love this place first time having the corn/ crab chowder delicious
