Deanie's Seafood Restaurant

Was told to try this restaurant a few years ago so it's been on my list. And finally was in the area to try it. Food was fantastic. I ordered the Soup of the Day which was Crab and Corn, the Stuffed Mushrooms, the Carrot Souffle, and Coconut Custard Bread Pudding to go. I wasn't told nor did I see on the menu that there is $1 surcharge for every carryout item you order so that was $4 extra for mine. That was a bummer to find out. I probably would have decided to eat there if told up front. Not sure if it's for the containers or not but if so two of them were the flimsy plastic. Funny thing, when I asked where to get a carryout the gal pointed down at the end of the near the kitchen area. So, I sat there and looked at the menu and waited for a bit and the bartender asked what I wanted but w

We went here for dinner because they have gluten free options. They have gluten free fried shrimp, onion rings, coleslaw slaw and French fries. The other two had regular red beans and rice with with spicy sausage. Everyone enjoyed the food and I didn't have any reaction. Everything was very tasty. They serve boiled potatoes, (instead of bread like at a italian restaurant) which was also nice

Food was excellent. Portions were enough for 2 people. Everything taste great. And, Kayla (our server) was great. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive to our needs.

Bring a serious appetite because the portions are pretty large. I tried a little of everything! Gumbo-6. Onions rings-10! Seafood platter -10! Stuffed mushrooms-10. Its a great place to enjoy!

Wife and I enjoyed a family outing with her brother's family. We had the grand seafood platter and crab au gratin. Each of us ate to our fill and still had enough remaining to provide another serving or two. The food was delicious! Our waiter, Vince, was prompt and courteous. There was a 30 minute wait, but everyone knows where to go for great seafood!
