Came into Philly after a long flight and needed sustenance. I got the whiting fish platter that comes with 2 sides for $18 and it was great portions and hit the spot! Was too hungry did not take a pic but includes 2 fillets. Deborah was very kind and it’s a small spot but super warm!!
My turkey wings were great and full of flavor. My cabbage not so much. It tasted like they're was no seasoning at on the cabbage. The mac and cheese could've been a little better but it wasn't that bad. My husband's friend chicken was very delicious and his yams were also good. I would definitely try this place again.
Ordered smothered turkey chops mac and cheese and stuffing alomgside a side of potato salad the smothered turkey chops were good just wish they were more tender the mac was basic to be honest i feel like it could have been seasoned more the stuffing is pretty good and the potato salad is a bit too sweet for me
Lovely sweet people. Food is good. Service is partially slow, but you can't rush good food. Items that I had baked turkey wings (, mac n cheese, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes with gravy, and dressing. All were good. They need to serve a bread. My bestfriend had the fried fish and it was soooo good. I wouldn't recommend the greens...they were missing something besides hot sauce. Great to see a black owned and operated place thriving. Im from Indiana and I will be back. Tips: It's a takeout kind of spot...there's 2 tables, but not much room. They take cards. Not much parking
I like the location the food was absolutely gross the service was fine the atmosphere was alright I wouldn’t recommend if you want anything that taste good the people were nice but the chicken had no seasoning the Mac and cheese was alright but it’s fine for something to eat I’ve had better soul food it’s just not great it’s mid
