Decatur Library, DeKalb County Public Library

Update January 2025 : This beautiful library continues to inspire people of all ages.. children, parents, or grandparents to read and enjoy reading books. My granddaughter, who is 4 years old now, never misses her weekly scheduled trips to this library. 2023 : The atmosphere within this beautiful library is such that it encourages reading .... it is so well organized, with very helping staff. The children's section is so sweet. My three years old grand daughter loves it... they have some lovely educational toys as well. Took my grand daughter to a Toddler's Storytime session on a Monday.... it was so beautiful, so lively... even I and my wife enjoyed watching it. A special appreciation for the Story Teller... she was so lively, full of energy... kids just loved it.

Vanessa was absolutely fantastic on yesterday. She assisted me in obtaining all of my pdfs and the necessary copies that I needed for federal court. She went above and beyond to ensure that I had what I needed. I’m grateful to Vanessa and this local library.

Family and community friendly. Quiet and clean. Full of great books and recommendations. Welcoming and enjoyable preschool programming. Children's librarians are a joy and a delight.

Thank you to staff member Kavontae! for assisting with issued headphones and allowing me to have some Halloween candy. Well mannered and fair younger man. I hope his work ethic and customer service is acknowledged. Reference if needed.
