Del Taco

I'm so happy to see Del Taco in North Carolina. The food at this location was gust as incredible as I was hoping it would be. They completely lived up to the Del Taco standard I'm used to being from California. I was able to speak with the owner who seems like a great guy, and his employees were extremely friendly. If you've never been, I highly recommend giving it a try. (the lettuce tomatoes meat and cheese are all super fresh - never frozen)

The food is pretty good (other than the nachos - see pics), and it seems fresher than taco bell, and the prices are better than taco bell (especially if you use the app). Normally their hard shell tacos don't fall apart while you're eating them (unlike taco bell's), which I love, but on my last visit, I was given a taco whose shell was already broken in multiple places (see pic) - a shell like this should be thrown away, not used to make a taco. I didn't change my rating based on this one taco, but if it happens again, I will. Also the nachos are still pretty sad. Most of the beans end up on a couple chips, and the beans are pretty solid, so you can't really spread them out onto the other chips.

I came here for the first time for dinner on my way home after work and decided to check Del Taco out. It was OK. The outside and inside are welcoming, clean and well lit. This is the typical fast- food taco restaurant. It offers many food items and combo options and drinks, which is what I look for in a taco place like this. I went for a hard-shell beef taco and a cheeseburger (I was curious about trying one from a taco restaurant). The taco was good out the hamburger was OK. I mean, not the best I have had, but I would come back for more tacos. Staff was helpful and friendly. There is plenty of free parking. Again, I would come back for more tacos, and only tacos.

This was my first visit and the tacos were very delicious. The lady at the drive thru today 2/7 @3:45pm was very friendly and helpful. I will return next time!!!

Del Taco in the Atlanta area seems to be on rocky ground, so when we took a weekend trip to Durham, NC, and we passed right by an open Del Taco, we had to swing in for dinner. The normal order area had a sign that required us to use the self serve kiosks, so I was not necessarily a fan of that, but at least there was no confusion with my order, given that I selected everything and changed things myself if I wanted to. But the food was excellent, and the service was as well. I hope they figure out how to stay open back in Atlanta. If you like them, support them so they stay open! Thanks, Del Taco!!!
