Del Taco

The del combo burrito and french fries were very fresh and enjoyable. The burrito had no added sauce as I requested; however, I did ask for ketchup and found one ketchup packet in the bag. I must be specific next time and say five ketchup packets. Also, if I had known the French fries would not be salted, I would have asked for salt. These are minor issues given the fresh, hot food.

There were three cars in the drive thru and no one at the window. The cashier held us at the speaker box for nearly 10 minutes for the fist car to order. When I got to the window it was another 4-5 minutes. WITH NO ONE IN LINE IN FRONT OF US. No explanation given and the food still wasn’t fresh. I HAD to leave this this review because this isn’t the first time just the longest wait.

First time coming here, first time in Pheonix. My partner grew up in San Diego and was dying to have Del Taco again! It was my first time so I got some churos, a snack taco (loooooved those) and a chicken taco. Everything was pretty decent but the chicken taco was a bit dry and barely had sauce so I asked for a extra cup. The manager kind of scolded me and said "thos time I'll do it but you really should pay for extra", I was like oh absolutely i didn't know it cost I will absolutely pay! She told me "no, it's fine, next time just pay". Alrighty that's totally cool by me and I appreciated the side of sauce. When I walked away the manager started telling the other employee that people who ask for extra sauce are trying to get one over on the business bc they know they're suppose to pay. So

Asked for fresh fries with no salt and noticed a Hair sitting directly on top of my fries instead !! Very displeased. Manager or whoever took my order seemed agitated frustrated all of the above so I felt rushed to order. Smh language barrier sucks sometimes also. Will never eat from there ever again or recommend.

I really can't say anything about the atmosphere in the restaurant since, by the time I got there in the early evening, the door was already locked. However, the two crunchy Del Tacos ( no tomatoes) and the Del Beef Burrito that I got were great and I thoroughly enjoyed them. Since I live in a state which doesn't have any of these restaurants, I always make an effort to stop at one whenever the opportunity arises...and, based on this visit, I'll probably hit another one in the next couple of days before going back home ! 👍
