First timers, just happen to be in the area. I had 1/2 of Reuben & Chef Salad with Dill dressing. Husband had Pastrami & Cheese with German Potato Salad. Excellent! And the owner's were wonderful!

First time going and it was awesome!! The Guinness sandwich is delish. Fresh tomatoes and juicy beef. The French roll was very fresh, as well as the pretzel. The sausage trio is an absolute bargain for the price. Can easily get two meals from the plate. Loved the house dill dressing!! I was a little confused when I got my sweet tea, but it was the most refreshing beverage I've had in a while. Will definitely be back!!

Best food on the Eastside! For over 40 years. Half Reuben half chef salad is my go to. Dill dressing and tea that is perfect. Also grab you some good chocolate or cheese on the way out!

Had the Reuben on a Saturday about 1:30pm, the place wasn’t busy at all and we received pleasant prompt service. Everyone one of the tables had been used, they must do a good lunch business. The Reuben was decent, not the best but worthy of another visit. They use plenty of sauerkraut, good portion of corned beef, cheese and mustard. The mustard was a surprise ( I didn’t read the menu ), so I requested a little thousand island on the side. With that, everything was right with the world. Interesting cafe with German sundries, meats, cheeses also for sale. Beats the chain restaurants every day. Try it, you’ll like it.

We had lunch here, recently. I had the "Morf Special", a sandwich with Black Forest ham and melted Swiss Raclette cheese on top. The cheese portion was very small, almost not visible. The flavor was still good, but It is not the same as it used to be, several years ago. The young lady behind the counter acted like it was her 1st day. There is definitely room for improvement.
