A Completely Avoidable Holiday Letdown The library’s advertisement promised “holiday cheer,” festive stories, songs, and a visit from Santa — but what we experienced was the exact opposite. Despite knowing this would attract MANY families (it’s Santa, after all), the library chose to host the event in a tiny, limited-capacity room. The result? A heartbreaking scene of toddlers and preschoolers being turned away at the door, confused and upset, because tickets “ran out” within minutes. If you’re going to hype up a magical holiday experience for children — complete with Santa and a take-home ornament — then you should absolutely plan for the turnout and hold it in a larger space. The North Branch Library is lovely, comfortable, well stocked, and excellently staffed. This library offers a terrific teen area that includes a great deal of very attractive contemporary teen lit. The children’s section includes a physical play area with ample room to move freely. The reference area is the designated quiet area. The adult area offers an excellent selection of books and media; what they don’t have within the walls of this library, they can quite often secure from one of the other well-stocked city libraries. The ever-full “Hold” shelf serves as ample evidence of the residents’ appreciation of this service. Overall, the North Branch offers a highly valued set of services to everyone in our community and we are grateful for it.

Very quiet, medium sized library. Big computer lab, individual study rooms, lots of comfy chairs, and a children's section. I love this library!

Its a nice library. Very cozy though make sure to bring headphones after 3 since thats when the middle schoolers come in. They can be quite loud.

Great local library with some cool amenities and a good book selection. As a heads up for anyone looking to do print projects, their rates are some of the best in town!
