Customer Reviews
Devil Dawgs on State was a nice treat. Employees are a little loud in their conversations but overall a quiet place for hanging out and getting a quick bite. We got the classic hotdog (boring!) & the bacon cheddar dog. Plus, onion rings & tater tots, Joe’s peach tea and a strawberry milkshake. Tater tots and the onion rings were very crispy! (You could hear that crunch from across the room). The strawberry milkshake was creamy and smooth, it was the cherry on top of all (literally). All was quickly made and tasty except the bacon + the cheddar hot dog was slightly salty. Maybe it was the sodium from the bacon and the cheddar? I almost felt bad for my liver! Ha! Jk, enjoying my choices in life. There’s a school near, so there was a bit of students coming in and out. Overall, a good option f
Stopped at Devil Dawgs and grabbed a corn dog with fries. Total was about $16 with tip, which feels reasonable for the city. The spice level was dialed in just right and the flavors were bold without being over the top—exactly what you want from a place like this. Fries were solid and well-seasoned. The vibe is fun and laid-back, with that classic fast-casual Chicago feel, and service was quick even though it was busy. Only real downside was the bun getting a little soggy, which knocked the texture down a notch. Still, the food, atmosphere, and speed make this an easy 5-star stop. I’d happily eat here again.
If you’re in the South Loop area and want a casual, fun spot for a hot dog with local Chicago flair, this is a very solid choice. I tried the Italian beef — very good! The sauce on the side was a nice touch, an awesome way to dip the sandwich. Great flavor and a relaxed atmosphere — definitely worth a stop.
I recommend this place for the onion rings and burger. I also ordered a hotdogs double Chicago's Style. It was ok. The prices are good. The place is comfortable n service so fast.
Pretty decent hot dog spot. They seem to have all the staples. Little pricey at $7-10 for a small dog. Had my first ever chicago dog here. It was ok. Tastes like a pickle inside a bun
