Dickey's Barbecue Pit

The man running the restaurant was very professional and friendly. Menu showed $12.99 for a sandwich combo, and states you get a sandwich and choice of a side and a drink. In addition to that price though we were charged an extra dollar for brisket chili which neither of us had, and the last charge on the receipt shows "renew/recycle program" for 39 cents, which we were never informed about and it does not show on the menu. Food was OK, but sandwiches are quite small, similar to the size of a cheeseburger at McDonald's.

Chicken was overcooked to a crisp, very dry and chopped to shreds.The potato wasn’t warm enough to melt the cheese. Very unappetizing. Will not be eating here again.

My husband and I are from out of town, we decided to try Dickey’s for our supper, we chose to use the drive-thru, some of the side items we requested was sold out, but that wasn’t a big deal to us because all their side orders are things we like, we ordered from what they still had to offer, the young lady that took our order was very pleasant and smiling when interacting with us, we didn’t have to wait long for our food and when we arrived back at our motorhome and sat to eat, everything looked and tasted great. My ribs were tender and my bread was fresh and soft to the touch, my potato salad was very good and my okra was cooked perfectly, my husband said his was just right aswell. Dickies is Dickies, the food is always just ok, but it is a decent enough place that you can get BBQ anywhere. This location however is not good. Literally out of everything including pickles. They didn't have lids for the kid cups and essentially told me I was sol. When I told him he would figure it out his manager promptly delivered. Definitely on the list of do not return.

The food was really cold. And I mean ALL the food was cold! How is that possible when it comes out of the oven thing??? The baked potato was hard and it looked like it was at least 1 full day old if not 2. The brisket was hard and very difficult to chew. It was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The young man was very nice, but the food was awful. On a scale of 1 to 10, I do not recommend...
