Customer Reviews
Haven't seen a Dickeys in years so had to stop in with the family for lunch. First Dickeys we've been in that was dinning style and not order yourself at the counter and then sit. Food was great as usual with good portions. Even the kids enjoyed it. Service could have been better, I didn't get refills on time and the wife wanted another beer but she didn't come by in time. If we are in the area we will stop by again.
I was going to stop at Taco Bell but decided BBQ sounded good so we went to Dickey's instead. I got the 3 meat platter with brisket, chicken, and pulled pork. First of all, it tasted like they have all the meat in one big pot of sausage because everything tasted like sausage. There was no smoke or BBQ to it at all. The brisket was some of the worst I ever had. It looked like someone ran beef fat through a meat grinder and plopped it on a tray. Food was mostly cold. (I'm guessing the microwave was working overtime that day) Fried okra was super salty. Out of 4 of us, nobody finished their food. One bartender running the whole place and he was very nice but after we got our drinks, we had to wait forever while he was taking care of the bar. The toast was very good, I'll give them that much.
The okra was amazing the pulled pork was cold so wasn't that good mac n cheese was amazing pork beans were no good at all. The service was bad like not sure if it was just one person in there working but if your eating lunch there might want to have over an hour and the manger showed up late over heard waitress say something but other then that it was good .
Extremely sub par bbq the baked beans came from a can and they use instant mashed potatoes! The pulled pork tasted like chicken over all a sad experience. The fried mushrooms have a very heavy batter on them that was not good at all however the pretzel bits weren't to bad again I have had far better food at a bar! The jalapeño kielbasa was very good this is the only reason they get 1 star
My second experience here. The first was very good so I stopped in again and sat at the bar. The resto was nearly empty and only bar patrons were present. My food was mediocre at best this time. The smoked wings were not tasting smoked at all and the “side salad” was a total joke. Romaine lettuce with two cores present and cheese on a flat plate with liner. On what planet does that constitute a side salad? Needless to say this was not a great visit
