Diner's Upscale Hawaii

This place came highly recommended by my family, and it definitely lived up to the praise. The food was amazing—full of flavor and incredibly satisfying. Indoor seating wasn’t available during our visit, but the weather was nice, so eating outside was still comfortable. What really stands out is the value: the portions are generous, and the prices are more than fair for how much food you get. I usually order takeout, especially when I visit later at night, but the quality of the food never disappoints. It’s absolutely worth it every time.

We stopped by Upscale Hawaii for dinner and decided to grab takeout. We ordered the New York steak and the ahi katsu roll, both were delicious! The steak was cooked a little more than I usually like, but it was still flavorful, tender, and really good for the price. The ahi katsu roll was fresh, crispy, and had great flavor balance. The portions were generous and definitely filled us up. The cashier lady was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Our order took a little longer than we expected, but honestly, it was worth the wait once we tried the food. Overall, great value, tasty dishes, and kind service, definitely a solid local spot I’d go back to again.

THIS IS THE MOST TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE I HAD WITH THEM TONIGHT!! I always call via phone, So today, (Wednesday) December 10, 2025 from 9:30pm to 10:30pm. called around 9:15pm to Order for pick up. Note: I’m very patient mostly when it comes to food industry because I also work in One, so back to what happen, I came a little early which is probably 9:20pm. As soon as i came all the girls(FOH) are laughing they didnt even notice theres already a line, well I wasnt bother since I have phone order anyways my order might be ready. So they notice us, I payed mines as well as others, if ever my Food is Ready they will give it to me AS SOON AS I PAYED SINCE THATS WHAT THEY ALWAYS DO EVERY-TIME. So...I've eaten here my fair share of times. Each time was more or less the same, the food is just bad. I figure this time I would just order breakfast because honestly, who can mess up breakfast? Diners can mess up breakfast. This is my cornbeef hash breakfast plate. This hash is pretty hard and has no taste. Ive been out drinking tonight so, regardless I was just goong to eat it. But then, there is paper stuck to the bottom of the hash!! Looks like parchment paper. They did not pull the paper of when they cooked their frozen patties. 😂😂 I also got it with bacon. Why does this food have zero taste? Lol. I also got pancakes, yeah, not good either. One half cooked, the bottom one burnt. Anyway, this is the last time I will be coming here. 6 times here, all 6 times the food was no good. Haha

Great food for takeout. It’s close to Bishop Museum and right in front of a bus stop. There are no indoor tables but there are outdoor tables on the side of the building.
