DIY Tea Lab Cafe (Bubble Tea Cafe)

TL;DR: aesthetics aside, the drinks here are pretty good! Parking: small shared lot. Atmosphere: small shop with very limited seating. Service: order and pay at the front, your drink will be called when completed for pick up at the counter. Grab yourself a straw. Menu: posted on the store front, the wall inside, behind the register, on the counter, everything everywhere all at once. Melanie's Taro Berry: My personal favorite. Who know taro and berries blended so well together? Tangy sweet berries combined with the smoothness of creamy taro. Yummy!

I bought boba milk tea at 12pm, and guess what?! boba is hard as rock, i am pretty sure boba is not made on the same day. most importantly, milk tea taste really disgusting. The taste of water + maybe creamer is more than tea. I do not feel there is any tea in there to be honest even thought they will claim they made with tea, just like most of shops claim. And also, the quality is not consistent. I bought twice within a month with exactly same product, and the taste is entirely different. Good luck to whoever planning to go there. It is not worth the money at all.

I tried DIY tea lab today for the first on their regrand opening day. All the workers were nice, patient, and accommodating. Lots of seating and cute decor. Parking was easy as well. I’m happy to have a bubble tea place nearby. The one thing I notice was even half sweet, the drink tasted like it was 100% sugar.

A good place to go if you want a quick bite and some decent-quality boba. I come here on my lunch break most days since I work at the pet store just down the street. My biggest complaint would be the inconsistency of service, though; depending on who's working when you come in the quality can vary significantly (the spam musubi suffers in particular from this and I'd recommend coming in on Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons for the tastiest version, made by a friendly American woman with a long black ponytail and glasses who always remembers my order - shout out to you if you're reading this <3). It's not bad enough to stop me from going there, though, and my rating stands at 4 stars as a result. Edit: Learned the name of the musubi wizard is Mayuko. Keep it up, girl, you're doing great.
