We recently took a trip from Philadelphia down to Baltimore, Maryland to visit a little place we've been wanting to check out - Dodah's Kitchen. Known for their fantastic vegan cakes in Philadelphia, it was a no-brainer to stop by. They are 100% vegan and we've heard so many good things about their food, we had to try it for ourselves. Arriving on a Friday around 5 PM, the place wasn't too busy as people were likely on their way home from work. The ambiance had a nice vibe, despite the cold air conditioning blasting at 60°. It took a little bit of searching to find someone at the counter, and there was a small language barrier as the person mostly spoke Spanish. However, pointing at certain items helped clear the confusion. After requesting to turn off the air conditioning, things started

Tried the ribs, mac, and collard greens, all of which really hit the spot. Prices are a little high but the portion sizes are huge, so it feels reasonable. I’d definitely come back—I want to try everything on the menu!

As a vegetarian I obviously I'm excited that a restaurant such as this exists. But I have to be honest I was a bit disappointed by the food. The portion sizes are large which I appreciated. But the taste was very starchy and carb heavy. The homemade sauce of that orange chicken or whatever it is was not great either. A lot of the side dishes were not fresh and clearly have been sitting there for a while. To be fair we went right before they closed. They had to make a new batch of ribs which took about half hour. The guy working there was very nice. I really hate knocking this place, because I wish there were more vegan restaurants. But I don't think I'll return. Prices there are quite high, too.

I visited Duda’s today around 2-ish with my son, who is a vegetarian. We were both really looking forward to enjoying a meal together. I’ve been to Duda’s before—years ago—and I remembered having an amazing chicken sandwich and a warm, welcoming vibe, so I was excited to return. I ordered the sweet kale, garlic kale, chickpea salad, and the cauliflower tofu with rice. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match my expectations this time. • The kale dishes, although flavorful, tasted like they hadn’t been washed properly. There was a sandy texture in both, and I had to stop eating them. • The cauliflower tofu bites were mostly dough rather than cauliflower, even though the sauce itself was good. • The rice wasn’t warm, which made the dish less enjoyable overall. The chickpea salad was grea

So this was my very first visit. I was informed of a vegan restaurant near my job. Anyway, I got the ribs, fried fish, collard greens, and ginger mint lemonade. It was pretty tasty for what it was. The lemonade was delicious. The greens were great. The ribs were not the best but were decent. I meant to do this review last Fri when I went. They should play edited music. I had my daughter with me. SMH 🤦🏾. I wish the food could be covered because I saw fruit flies in seating area. There was no wait and two staff members working. I would recommend and go back again. The restaurant was very nice though but a lot of the items like cake and Mac and cheese were sold out.
