Doghouse Bakery and more

I loved this place and they used to have great Kuchen, a family favorite..this year I ordered 6 for our Christmas Eve, did not look at them when I picked up..they were already in bags. In the photo you can see the crust..as hard as cardboard!! Kuchen has a sweet bread dough type crust..this is not it!!! So disappointed and the filling wasn’t good either..never again!!!!

I’ve been in this bakery numerous times and have never seen ANY bugs let alone tons of cockroaches, to be honest the flooring didn’t even match the bakery floor. It’s easy to do a reverse image search and that picture is online for a Chinese restaurant in Philadelphia. It’s very sad that people try and ruin a business’s reputation because of your insecurity or animosity. Every time I have walked in the bakery door the first thing I’m greeted with is a hello and hold on please so I can wash my hands. Please choose the lord and not anger

We love this Bakery! I used to to Mel’s when it was located in the same spot and was glad when the current owner, a former Mel’s employee, took over the business! My friend Fran and I try to go every Friday for goodies! I love this place and was disheartened when I found out that their lease was not renewed, due to the vile neighbor next door to the bakery! Lodi needs a decent, reliable bakery! I will be forever grateful for the beautiful cookie bouquets and other delicious items that they suggested for my Mom’s memorial service, they were spectacular and delicious. My Mom loved this bakery and I know that she would be so disappointed at the decision of the building owner to not renew their lease! Where am I going to get my goodies for my parties and birthdays? Wow! Who knew bakeries could be this bad and be missing so much of their menu?!
