Dolce Vita Italian Restaurant

This is the kind of Italian restaurant you take the soccer team for pizza after the end of a season. We can in at 630 on a Tuesday and the last restaurant was mostly empty. The staff was friendly and inviting. I watched several regulars walk in and get greeted with warmth. The menu was vast and reasonably priced. The food was delivered quickly and hot but the flavor was pedestrian...nothing special, just OK. They had some private space for large groups or meetings. The tables were sticky from the cleaner interacting with the varnish. Overall just an OK dining experience. Oh! One thing that was uniquely delicious...the gigantic garlic rolls. Yum!!

We were back visiting from out of state, so my daughter wanted to go to her favorite childhood restaurant. Our server, CJ, was phenomenal! The restaurant was clean, service was friendly & efficient, and we all received generous portions. We selected their Black & Blue Grilled Steak Salad, Chicken Parmigiana, & The Cuban sandwich. We’re happy to know that 10 years later, Dolce Vita is still thriving!

Started coming here after moving to the area. Became a staple for pizza in the house for years, however, when ownership changed the service and quality have suffered. Inconsistent quality of pizza, tons of bubbles, separation of crust, too much or too little cheese, undercooked gummy dough, tons of flop. Always check your online orders. They frequently make a mistake entering the order in their system, then you have to wait for a refire for what was messed up, and then get the other items that's been getting cold for 10 minutes.

Dolce was terrific! We had a party of 8 and were very happy with the service, atmosphere and the food. Tasteful and authentic plates we loved including the crab bisque soup delish! Marsala, manicotti, meatballs we tried a lot and will be back. Highly recommended. The friendly chefs were even very friendly with our granddaughter a raised smiles from her from the kitchen window. That is genuine good people.

The atmosphere cozy and clean. The bathrooms are spotless. The service is mediocre. Time from ordering to table is way too long for reheated food. The food is terrible, overcooked, over-sauced, frozen not fresh, and the oil needs to be changed. The fries are really good but who comes to an Italian restaurant for fries? There are way too many Italian restaurants in Richmond to eat here again. It’s a NO for me.
