Don Taco

I don’t make it out to Alexandria too often, but since it was a halfway point between a friend and me, it worked out perfectly. We chose Don Taco—because really, you can’t go wrong with chips, salsa, and drinks for a quick happy hour. The salsa had a great smoky kick, and the empanada I ordered was flavorful and satisfying. My friend’s taco looked solid too. Overall, it made for a great evening! We ended up staying for almost two hours. If the weather’s nice, I highly recommend grabbing a table outside. It’s perfect for people-watching—and the constant stream of dogs passing by only adds to the charm. Service started off strong—the staff was attentive and quick to check in. Always a fun spot for good eats! While I did not partake, their tequila menu was quite extensive. As for the tacos, our entire party was impressed! My Ahi Tuna tacos were fresh with exciting toppings to boot. At noon on a Saturday, it was perfect for a casual family lunch. Would be a great spot for happy hour, I'd imagine. Outdoor seating when the weather is nice...I plan on being a regular!

Always a great place for tacos. Fast service. Friendly staff. Good variety in tacos to suit all tastes.

How can you complain about a too attentive staff? You shouldn't but that is my only ick. The food came out hot and fast, full of flavor! The chips aren't homemade but they do deep fry them before serving. The salsa had a nice heat to it. My raspberry margarita mocktail was AMAZING. The taco trio was just the right amount of food for lunch leftovers. I can't wait to go back for happy hour!

I'm not even really a Mexican food fan, but I really enjoyed my meal. Great happy hour prices. Had a yummy margarita and the guac, which was a little pricey, was a huge portion (to me!). It was boyfriend's birthday dinner and he loved it. He ended up with five tacos!
