This restaurant gives a good vibe, I also like how the breakfast is served with complimentary starters like a concha,, or the fideo/beans... The menudo is delicious!
Do not order any food from here for delivery! Not sure about how it is in person but definitely felt like we got catfished. The enchilada cheese was not it. Looked like plastic and the tortillas fell apart. Rice was flavorless and their fajita was the same. Only good thing was the beans and flour tortilla. Literally sad about ordering on this cold day. Lost my appetite in all honesty.
It’s a small restaurant but the food and service is Homemade perfection. The prices of food is comparable to other local restaurant prices. The main dish comes with a small bowl of soup with fideo and small pieces of chicken.
Bistec Ranchero meat was a little dry and flavorless. Enchiladas were better the chile relleno was real good fresh and tasty. The small pitchers they give you the drink in was a nice touch. I did see some banna and strawberry milk shakes I would like to try next time.
Our server was attentive and had high energy. She made our dine in experience feel like we were eating at home or at your tia's house. I had Nancy's plate that had entomatadas, fajita preparada, black beans and papas bañadas en chile de color. My wife had the combination plate that came with carne guisada, 2 american enchiladas, rice, beans and a salad. Before our orders came we got small bowls of fideo soup with tortilla chips. The flavor of our food tasted like if your mom or grandma made it. Nothing was stale everything tasted fresh and tasteful. First time eating here, but we've been to the Boca Chica location several times. Hands down menu selections and taste of food is better than Ricardos(just my personal opinion).
