This place is… odd. Presentation clearly isn’t a priority here. The donut itself wasn’t bad, but the pricing felt steep — $2.50 for a basic glazed donut. Honestly, you’re better off driving to Columbia and getting tallow-fried donuts at BAD Bakery.
Got half a dozen donuts for $30. They were large, but overpriced. 15 years ago, this place was an important childhood memory for me. Today, just like everyone else has said, the chocolate icing tastes like pure acetone. It burns your lips and gums even after spitting out the icing and rinsing several times. I already was sick with a sore throat before eating this and it just added to my pain. Non-chocolate donuts seem to be ok. Don’t understand how only the chocolate are affected. Maybe they’re only rinsing the chocolate bowl with acetone. Childhood memory ruined.
Where are all the dollar donuts in pink boxes that are super fluffy? We were hoping this was one of these places. I feel so bad writing this because the lady was so sweet. But this place is rough. Biggest red flag was we went in a little after opening time, and she proceeded to MICROWAVE the donut in front of us. That was wild. Our jaws visibly dropped. When we ate the chocolate twist, there was a weird chemical taste. We couldn’t eat it. When I came to the reviews, I saw exactly what we had experienced. Acetone flavor of sorts. Needless to say, we didn’t eat them. Based on flavor and the microwaved dough texture. For $3 a donut, that was rough.
We stopped in this donut shop on the way to PetSmart Spring Hill, TN. So glad we did. Huge variety and very fresh! Our thoughts: - Cinnamon Bun: looks like one, but didn't taste like one. Tastes more like a glazed donut. - Glazed Donut: imagine if Dunkin Donuts had a fresh off the glazer conveyor belt original glazed. That's how soft and wet it was. 10/10.
I was very hesitant in coming here because of the poor reviews. But I’m glad I tried them anyways because this is where I’ll be getting donuts in Spring Hill from now on. I’d also like to add clarity to a few of the complaints that people have. Yes they are pricier than most typical donuts. But they are also twice the size of typical donuts. I believe these are also higher quality as well. The apple pecan fritter and cinnamon sugar twist were soft on the inside and had caramelized crunchy bits on the outside. Absolutely wonderful in taste and texture. The only one I didn’t enjoy was the chocolate frosting. I do agree with people that the nail polish salon next door is somehow permeating the frosting. Which is really unfortunate because the donut itself is superb! If they can figure out a
