Dosa Place - Sterling | Authentic Dosa & Indian Cuisine, South Indian breakfast

I love this place!!! I woke up this morning missing Hyderabad. I’m new the area so I looked up some places to try and ultimately chose this place because it looked authentic. I went with my wife and she agrees, it’s absolutely amazing. Everything is made fresh to order. The atmosphere is great as well. There are tables to sit outside with cover to sit away from the sun. There’s also a building here with a laid back North Indian restaurant inside where you can go and wash your hands or use the restroom. The food and the people here authentic. We’ll definitely keep coming back!

We came here for dinner and had the Ghee Karam Dosa and Upma Pesarattu—both were absolutely delicious and tasted as authentic as they could be. The whole vibe of the place was beyond amazing. Open-air seating with TV and music made the experience even better.

Dosa Place is an affordable food truck joint located very close to the Dulles airport. The food truck is easy to spot from the busy roads and is right next to a food court with ample parking spots. Ambience is super casual with plenty of outdoor seating area and optional indoor seating (Inside the food court) as well. Everything is made to order, so it takes about 20-30 minutes for food to arrive but when it does, comes piping hot and flavorful with it's aroma filling the whole lot. Masala dosa, Kadappa karam dosa and Aloo bajji are must-tries. Medu vada wasn't crispy so I wouldn't recommend it as much as the others. If you're looking for a budget-friendly menu with home cooked food, this is where I'll send you.

Drove 35 minutes for a terrible experience. The sambar was watered down, the chutneys were disgusting (one claiming to be coconut, the other unidentifiable), and the dosas were cold and dried out. We waited 30 minutes but our buzzer never went off. When I asked, the staff seemed confused, couldn’t track orders, and eventually handed me dosas that had been sitting on the counter. They insisted the buzzer had been ringing for 15 minutes, which was untrue—we were sitting within range, and the momo truck’s buzzer worked perfectly. Instead of remaking the food, they dismissed the issue. To make it worse, an older man beside the counter rudely waved his hands and snapped, “We are not here to just serve you,” in a very hostile tone. Completely unprofessional.
