Downtown Tacos

Great place for authentic food, the cooking takes me back to my mom and pops cookin. The two young ladies taking the orders are always very polite and friendly. I recommend this place to anyone in the mood for authentic Mexican food.

Service was great, order ready when expected. However the eggs on the tacos tasted like the grill had been cleaned then used to cook their eggs for the tacos. Probably won't be returning until they figure out how to do both.

Customer service was great! The food came out quickly and hot. The charro beans were ok, could use some cilantro but the spice level was good. I got the street tacos which were pretty good with the green sauce. The red sauce was not my cup of tea though. I would recommend for a quick lunch. For the quality and amount of food, I would say they are overpriced compared to the much better tacos trucks in Houston.

Definitely a nice local establishment. Tasted and looked like everything is made from scratch. We showed up around 1030 and by 1045 there was a line to the door. I had a breakfast plate with a tortilla and fajita steak and the wife had the street tacos. I think her choice was better. My tortilla was crispy and crunchy. I would definitely go back and if you haven't tried it you should give it a try. They also could work on the presentation.

They do NOT have tacos, just burritos, but they call them tacos. It was a little confusing. Their burritos are huge and filling. The hippo was really good
