Drill Sergeant Academy DFAC

Alright y’all. This review comin at ya from a sports dietitian at Ft Jackson. Ima be honest. I was super excited about this DFAC, and it did not disappoint. There is so much variety! The salad bar is bussin… so many veggies, proteins and heart healthy fats! However, I opted for an egg salad and got food poisoning from it. Kinda a letdown for sure. But, be not dismayed. I will still eat here regularly! I will just be avoiding the cold line options for now.

I go to this DFAC regularly because the quality of food is good, the service is 5 stars and the place is as clean as it could possibly be. This a great DFAC with professional service. Keep up the great work!

Staff are super rude and barely willing to acknowledge your existence. Also, they claim it’s “too hot to run the dishwashers” so we’ve been stuck without trays and eating with paper plates and plasticware for days. Go elsewhere, this place truly isn’t interested in providing a quality service.

Really hot/warm stuffy and crowded. No fans or air conditioning. The food is served warm and quick. Pizza is delicious and all of the staff are so sweet and polite. (Southern hospitality) If you show up in ocps after walking a few miles prior to lunch chow, you are going to sweat a lot in here during your feast. Not even the bathrooms can cool you down.

Mediocre at best. There’s some nice people who work here. And then there’s some really unpleasant people. Hey, a job is a job. Mostly smiles and usually clean. Bathroom could be a little bigger and coffee machine could be tended to a little better.
