Customer Reviews
It pains me to write this because I really wanted it to do well, but the reality is that it’s a bit hit and miss. We purposely headed out to Grays River to visit Duffy’s and the covered bridge. It was a roasting hot day, and when we walked into the pub around lunchtime, we were the only ones there. It felt a little strange as we had expected it to be more of a destination spot given its history and music connections. The lady behind the bar was lovely and read us a menu of specials that she said were made fresh that day. We assumed we were early and they were expecting a rush, as the list was quite extensive. After reading other reviews and trying the food ourselves, it was clear the specials weren’t fresh daily, which was disappointing. When chatting with her later, we asked about the an
This place is like a small Museum with a cafe and bar mixed with the exhibits. Notes of Irish heritage abound on every wall. But a closer look reveals a very personal slice of west coast Americana. A friend turned me on to this place. The original owner was a former rock promoter and owner of a famous Portland venue we both played at. Lots of old punk rock posters with names of artist both local and world wide that played in the venue. Really. Freakin. Cool. I didn’t eat but everything looked yummy. There’s a bar area with stools. Some amazing handmade tables, obviously made by a local master craftsman with local timber. Out back is open air seating with tables, that over looks a bend in the river. It’s a very calm and sort of breathtaking place. The natural beauty of the place has a power
If you’re looking for cozy charm, hearty food, and the best Irish Coffee ever, Duffy’s Irish Pub is a must-visit. I originally came just for the coffee (which did not disappoint), but ended up staying for the full experience. Breakfast came out on a massive platter—definitely shareable—and everything tasted homemade and five-star. The atmosphere is warm and packed with personality—fun knick-knacks, books, and little treasures tucked into every corner. It’s a small-town gem that makes you want to slow down, sit back, and enjoy every minute. Highly recommend taking your time here—this place is more than a meal, it’s an experience.
What a cool place! You go in to a dark wood pub type atmosphere and it just keeps getting cooler and cooler. The floors are crooked, trinkets adorn every surface. Irish music is playing, the gals working there were fun and provided good service. The food was spectacular, the potato salad was amazing, the hand pressed burger was delicious and juicy! Glad I stopped in!
Huge portions of absolutely stellar food. Got short ribs and dirty rice and the oysters New Orleans. Best oysters I’ve had in a long time! Excellent atmosphere and lovely service.
