Duffy's Sports Grill

The place overall is not entirely bad. However, it is not the best. To elaborate on it, the food is ok but could be better, the service is not good since the waiters rarely come to check on you and disappear for a long time. During our experience we waited for at least 45 minutes, almost an hour, for our food, and the waiter was absent most of the time, she could be seen managing tables from many other areas aside from ours. The food when it arrived was a bit cold and felt reheated, especially the fries, which felt chewy. The kids plate was really…shocking at how very little there came, we ordered a kids burger, with just the patty and fries, but the patty was small and thin, and there were around 16 fries compared to the ones of the adults plate as can be seen in the pictures. Duffy’s in the Sanford/Lake Mary area is one of those spots you can always count on for solid food and plenty of TVs to catch the game. The atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect from a sports grill — football helmets lining the booths, TVs everywhere you look, and a lively but still comfortable vibe. The food was on point. The full rack of ribs was tender, sauced up perfectly, and paired with corn on the cob — definitely worth ordering if you’re hungry. The buffalo chicken sandwich hit the spot too, with a nice kick and a side of mashed potatoes that were better than I expected. Menu has plenty of variety, and they even run seasonal specials like their Double Smash Burger. Drinks are a good deal here with their 2-for-1 specials. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ **Jacqueline at Duffy’s – Possibly Not Human** I’m 95% sure Jacqueline is either **a superhero, a Jedi, or three servers stacked in a trench coat** pretending to be one person. The speed and service were absolutely unexplainable. The moment our drinks got halfway empty she was already there with refills. I didn’t even see her walk over. One second the table was empty… **next second Jacqueline just spawned like a video game character.** At one point I’m pretty sure she: * Took our order * Ran food to three tables * Refilled drinks across the restaurant * Solved a kitchen problem * Probably helped land a plane somewhere …all in the time it took me to unfold my napkin. We went for dinner on a Thanksgiving night and Duffy's didnt disappoint. The service was great and the food was delicious. Would come back again.

People are so quick to post complaints and bad experiences, so I thought I would post what an excellent experience we had while visiting central FL recently for a getaway. The food and drinks were were very good. Where this restaurant shined was with th.staff and atmosphere. Our server Conor was superb - attentive, knowledgeable and most of all smiling and personable. Since we were out of town, our group had a lot of questions and Conor cheerfully answered all of our questions without getting annoyed or making us feel rushed, even though the place was busy. He actually made our experience feel personable. Atmosphere is fun! We will come back next time we are in town...and will ask for Conor! Would recommend this place - reasonable prices, good food, fun atmosphere and staff Conor!!
