Dukes Old Fashioned Onion Burgers

Oklahoma style Onion burgers come in single, double, triple, brats, chicken, hot dog. Different types of Fries and chili. It’s called onion burgers because onions are cooked into the patties are smashed to look bigger. We ordered: -single onion burger-classic burger with lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mayo, cheese -the smokehouse- not your typical sweet wet messy bbq sauce burger. -bowl of red - loved that the chili was meaty and no beans. A bit bland but with hot sauce, it made a difference -Spanish fries - basically fries with fired onions and fried jalapeños. I could do without this version and just get chili cheese fries next time to satisfy craving of fries and bowl of red. Everything was so tasty and expected in a burger joint. Bomb and good size burgers. The milkshake was delicious very fresh. Service was quick and they ran out of meat 3 hours before closing so we got the last burgers luckily. It’s a spacious spot with inside and outside seating but I’m sure it gets busy all the time .

2 misses today…..Tried their Smokehouse burger…amazing. I absolutely love grilled onions so this is a huge plus! Also ordered the cheese fries they were very good. Here’s my ‘oh no’ moments. Looked at my receipt later…. the Smokehouse burger picture on their counter states $18.95… my receipt shows $19.61…. Hmmmm? I also asked for my fried well done, also shows on receipt. Nope! So, by the time the cheese is topped, the fries were soggy. That is a turn off for me. But we still ate them, the cost for them to remake correctly was something I could not justify. So we did eat most as is. The cook needs to read & pay attention his KVS orders. But other burgers are also noteworthy as well as the Parmesan garlic fires. You won’t be disappointed!

After weeks of hearing about this place from my close friend Fahmi, I finally decided to Google it. The review that sold me was written by a fine young gentleman by the name of Mike. I grabbed my car keys and sped over to Duke’s. I walked in and ordered a double cheeseburger, fries, and a vanilla milkshake. When the employee called my name to pick up my meal, I was both astonished and mad at myself. Not because of how terrible it looked, but because I had missed out on this for so long. How foolish of me… When I picked up the burger, I took a guess at how much it weighed, and I’d say it was a solid pound. I was honestly terrified to take the first bite, but as soon as the sweet smell of that massive, succulent, juicy burger hit my nostrils, I automatically went for it. The juices squeeze

This was our first time eating at Dukes and it was it was delicious. I’m not a huge burger fan, however my family is visiting and wanted to try it. The burger was fresh, juicy, and a bit messy. The fries were hot and crispy and cut fresh. I got a single and it was huge. The lemonade I got was strawberry watermelon and it was the best I ever had, delicious flavor without being too sweet. The strawberry shake, which was hand dipped was yummy too. Sherry ( I hope I spelled right) was so sweet and helped us, the service was top notch and we will be back soon. I can’t wait to take other family members.
