Dune Deck's Mimosa Cafe

Tried Mimosa Café in West Boynton today with my sister. We sat inside, which is spacious and has a typical diner vibe, but is very clean. They also have outside tables with umbrellas. One thing that was very noticeable was that, despite the place being fairly full, the noise level was very low. Definitely a great place if you want to easily hold a conversation with members of your party. The hostess, Daisy, greeted us warmly and was genuinely welcoming. Our server, Anthony, was equally professional, attentive, and helpful with recommendations. Both are an asset to the restaurant. I ordered the homemade corned beef hash and paid a little extra for the hash brown casserole. Definitely well worth it. We've eaten here before and always had a good experience, which makes this visit even more disappointing. The other morning we came in and were the only customers dining inside. Our order was taken, and shortly after it started getting busy. We watched our food sit under the heat lamp for about 10-15 minutes because the kitchen wasn't preparing the orders in the proper sequence. By the time our food was finally brought to us, it wasn't even hot anymore. On our way out, we stopped the manager to let him know we were leaving and not eating the cold food. Instead of taking accountability for the situation-which he was clearly aware of, since he had also seen the food sitting there and had even asked how long it had been there but did nothing about it—he became so defensive and started yelling

Mimosa does it right from start to finish! The overall vibe, varied breakfast and lunch menu, friendly and welcoming atmosphere, choice of indoor and outdoor seating, and wonderful service have made this restaurant our favorite in the area. Although I checked off a few ideal group size options, the staff will no doubt accommodate larger groups. I would suggest a call ahead to alert them for group sizes greater than 8, especially for indoor seating options. We’ve been regular customers since we moved to Boynton Beach several years ago, and continue to recommend this venue to all of our friends and neighbors.
