Dunleith Historic Inn

First impressions, kindness, friendliness, knowledge & a smile will be what people remember. Dunleith’s staff says it all. Qwana & Megan, were angels that made our trip absolutely a perfect experience!!! Who leaves the front desk to come remedy a TV problem late in evening? And who makes sure a late check in will be just fine, along with more towels/coffee be replenished instantly? These ladies went over the top for us! Who does that kind of customer service anymore? Our room was clean & well stocked! The history was present & preserved yet updated for comfort. The Castle restaurant on the property had some of the best food one could hope to put in their mouth. My steak was cooked as I had ordered & the taste was wonderful. Glad to know that someone else besides my son-in-laws cook

I stayed in the dairy barn and was disappointed in the upkeep of the room. There is no ice or access to water bottles in the building. The phone in the room did not work so i was unable to speak to the front desk clerk. However in her defense she noticed i was trying to call and rang me on my cell. I asked about water and ice and was told i could get some at the office. This was 9pm and i was already in bed. It was quite a distance from my room to the front of the property. I didn't get any water. The room was very conveniently located beside the restaurant. However I wasn't about to walk over in my PJs for a drink. The room seemed run down for the price. The locks were difficult to open and close. The furniture was worn. The carpet was very bad. The wooden blimds did not close all the wa

One of the best places we have ever stayed!! Awesome room, very authentic and historic. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. Definitely recommend plus if you are a fan of cats there are two outdoor babies that are in good health and well kept!!

First thing to note is that we thought we were booking a bed and breakfast. Indeed they have bed but no breakfast. With that being said, as you drive in to this place it is absolutely gorgeous! Check in was in the old chicken coop which we found really cool. You will receive real keys not plastic cards so dont lose them. Brittany, who checked us in was very nice and we felt gave us good instructions about what to expect. ( had one hiccup with pillows, see issue under rooms review) I will note it here just in case this part is the only part you see. There are no elevators on property and you are responsible for your luggage, pack accordingly to your fitness level. This estate is absolutely incredible. We stayed here for my birthday and it was like stepping back in time. I can’t imagine how much work goes into maintaining a property like this. The canopy bed was comfortable and I really enjoyed the jetted bathtub. Wonderful experience in the pool as well! The gardens are like something out of a dream.
