Dutch Pot Restaurant - Pembroke Pines

After the owner replied to my review, I decided to go back for a second shot and order the same meal I ordered on Friday. This time around made up for Friday and made me a believer. The jerk pork was nice and fresh with chunks of pork layered with fat. Definitely made a difference in the meal, a large portion, which is a meal for two for a very fair price. The steamed cabbage was also on point. The festival this time around was definitely softer. Which made me happy Jamaican cuisine is definitely my favorite out of all the cuisine in the Caribbean. Next time around, I’ll definitely try something different like the oxtail or the escovitch.

I ordered the curry chicken large with salad rice and peas and plantains. The portion size was enough for two servings. The curry chicken was not too spicy but the plantains were dry only reason the rating is a 4. I will be back food was delicious apart from the plantains.

I went to the drive at this location and ordered a large chicken soup for $12. When I returned home and opened the soup this is what I got. I called and asked if their recipe has changed because it has never looked like this before. I was told it was the same as always. It had some flavor but was a different watery like substance. If I wanted this type of soup I would have bought a can of Campbell's for $2

The chicken part of a thigh. The meat tasted twice cooked in old grease. The meat dry up. The chicken turned to crackling. I did not receive the fritter ordered. I just need better quality and service.
