East Bay Deli- West Columbia

The ladies taking my order were super friendly and helpful. I had the turkey wrap which, in my opinion, was about 90 percent turkey and had hardly any tomatoes or salad (see photo, I had already taken a bite because I was so hungry). The food was OK, but honestly I did not feel the price was justified. I understand fresh products cost more, but for the wrap, a bag of chips, and this piece of pickle, paying 12 dollars just feels too expensive for what is actually in the wrap. The wrap itself had spinach which I really enjoyed. We also had a piece of red velvet cake, a huge slice and absolutely delicious. Lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere and cool interior design. Went to lunch with my colleagues and we all had really good food! Mine was a zesty jalapeño chicken wrap with seasoned French fries. It was delicious and the wait wasn’t too long. Very nice staff, clean bathrooms, fun atmosphere. I would come back!

Not really an inviting atmosphere. What appears to be the manager an older man with a greyish black beard is at the counter as I arrive. I’m not greeted at all by him. Not by anyone actually. He doesn’t even look up to acknowledge me as I’m standing there. He doesn’t even direct me to the correct register while I’m standing in front of him at the register. Young lady walks over from salad bar who is the cashier says hi and takes my order. Seems very timid. She was very nice and polite though. Great smile as well. Very informative of menu foods that she was asked about. Cook who bought my food out was very nice & polite as well and informative of my questions about my condiments. It’s been a while since I’ve been to this location but customer service was actually more inviting then. Food sm

Stopped in for lunch this afternoon. I had the Buffalo wrap which was delicious, the sauce went excellent with the wrap! I also had the Wild Roast Beef. This sandwich had me wanting to circle back and order a couple of more, it was that good!! The atmosphere and service was very pleasant.

The Google said I visited East Bay yesterday, but actually I left there about 3:30 pm & I'm reviewing it now @ 7:20 pm the same day. Oh well. The Chicken Charleston was fabulous! The blonde woman who took the order was patient and kind. The woman that got my lid on my cup was oh so pleasant. Being 62, I have trouble with a lot of easy jobs in my youth, and she was friendly with a warm smile. Plenty of seats. The prices were comparable to other deli places ( Jimmy John, Subway, etc) but a whole lot better atmosphere with seating, air conditioning comfort, TV's, and salad bar. I want to go back more often. I didn't spend anything, my friend treated me for my birthday.
