East Boston Branch of the Boston Public Library

The East Boston Library is a beautiful, sunny space that’s perfect for both working and reading. There are great rooms designed for quiet focus, including silence rooms and conference rooms, which make it easy to concentrate or meet comfortably. The atmosphere is calm, inviting, and thoughtfully laid out. Parking is a bit limited, but it’s well worth the visit. The staff truly make the experience special, they are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful. A wonderful community space that feels warm, modern, and well cared for. I recommend it!

Location is unsanitary. I came today right at opening and was surprised to see crumbs and other messes in the kids area. I would assume a public library would be upheld to a certain sanitary requirement but am surprised to see that’s not true. In addition to obvious messes there is also gum/slime under 80% of the tables here.

This place is so nice and the staff member are kind.

If you don’t mind some noise, it’s a perfect library to get some work done. Noise is primarily coming from children playing, but I won’t complain because 1/4 of the library space is dedicated to children, plus I have noise cancelling headphones. Architecturally, it’s a modern library with a great view of the greenway and a community garden. Very well built. It’s a pleasure visiting!
