Very nice Beach. You need to pay for parking by scanning a QR code in your phone. There are a few bikes that you can rent also by using an app to unlock them. There are several benches and bins between the parking lot and the beach itself. When I was there, there was a sign saying there’s no lifeguard.
This place is pure happiness. Make sure to pay for parking as they do ticket the vehicles. This beach does tend to get busy on the weekends. You can have a fire at night here as long as it’s in a metal fireplace. Great sand as well!
Main Beach in East Hampton is a beautiful stretch of coastline that perfectly captures the charm of Long Island’s East End. Known for its clean, soft sand and gentle waves, it’s an ideal spot for a relaxing day by the ocean. The beach is well-maintained and has lifeguards on duty, making it a safe and family-friendly destination. What sets Main Beach apart is its peaceful, upscale atmosphere—there are no overwhelming crowds or noisy distractions, just the sound of the surf and sweeping views of the Atlantic. Sunrises and sunsets here are especially stunning, with the sky painted in vivid colors over the water. While parking can be challenging without a local permit, the experience is well worth it. Main Beach combines natural beauty with a sense of tranquility, making it one of the most en
Great public beach, clean restrooms and some food options. We had plenty of room to relax and it was a great atmosphere. If you want food, make sure you have CASH. We got there later in the day so the parking lot was closed, but were able to park at the Lumber Lane lot in the village and take a free Circuit ride to the beach. Ended up taking a car back to our car since the Circuit line was a bit long at the end of the day.
Beautiful and extremely clean beach. However, you do need a east Hampton Village permit to visit the beach in the summer. Town permits and village permits are not the same thing, so you need to have a village permit to go here. It’s free to go here in the winter though.
