East Northport Public Library

We had never visited the East Northport Library before. The library is orderly and spotless. The librarians and staff are really helpful. Downstairs in the Children's Section, our grandchildren's artwork was on display. Despite its smaller size, the library is well-equipped with everything you need. Parking can be a little challenging, so exercise patience.

It's lousy that they are closed on Sundays in the summer time. What are the kids supposed to do on bad weather Sundays in the summer. Walk the streets and get into mischief. The library is backwards. They should be closed on Sundays from September -June. Not during summer time when there is no school. The library is supposed to be a place of salvation for the kids. But what's the point? if they are closed on Sundays in the summer time. Doesn't make no sense.

Nice library with a good selection. Inside there is a little cafe area, a teens area, as well as all of downstairs is kids. There is a second floor which has nice desks and tables to sit. Great place to study, read, and do homework. There are lots of programs for kids and teens over the summer as well as a kids book club which kids can earn prizes. There is a playground on the outside and large baseball field. Overall it’s a great library for the community and the staff is very friendly and kind.

Love my library, favorite place in town. Never though as a kid I’d grow up to love books and be so excited to have such a blessing in my life. An amazing library, we are very fortunate. Not everyone has this luxury, we can be what ever we want and we can do anything we want to do with a book, a life time of knowledge compacted into a single book.

Today I scheduled an appointment to use a computer. After checking in with the Reference Librarian, I was directed to a computer (they're all numbered) and typed & printed my letter and then printed docs from an email. As you're only allowed 1 hr, I was glad to finish before my time was up. I did observe a staff member wiping down the computers on either side of mine as I was working. There is a plexiglass barrier between computers but no one was sitting next to me. I've never seen the library this empty or quiet! And parking was also no big deal.
