East Petersburg Community Pool

Nice community pool, with shade and green areas. Wish they would open a few more swim lanes so it's not so crowded, and also, prohibit throwing balls/toys in pool (rowdy catch) it is intimidating.

Since this pool is walking distance from my new home I decided to give this pool a try and possibly buy a membership. *I did not have a good experience.* The life guard, an older Caucasian woman, kept eyeing my children and I. She blew her whistle at anything and everything. Even to my children splashing at each other away from others. (?!) I felt like we were singled out. Not trying to pull out the rascist card but we were truly treated differently. It was embarrassing every time she called out or whistled. Everyone looked. I hope this gets better. I read from other reviews that I'm not the only one this happened too.

The staff at East Pete Poole are very knowledgeable and helpful. The facility is well kept and the lifeguards are really great with kids.

I am grateful for this pool. The water is clean, and there’s some debris on the bottom; that’s because there are trees close by, but it’s not a health issue. The guards are diligent, and it’s a 25 m pool. The lanes are a little narrow. They have a battery-operated pace clock that you can borrow (look on the pool house porch).

I purchased a family membership for this season and we started off the summer excited about it. Most of the lifeguards seem friendly, strict, but friendly. However, one kid in particular goes out of his way to police everything everyone does, even to the extent of parenting my kids. I wish I knew his name but I believe he's the only lifeguard with a mustache, he has dark hair, always wears sunglasses, small build, looks about 18 years old. I'm a rule follower even though the rules at this pool seem too strict, to the point that my almost seven year old isn't allowed in the 8 inch deep baby pool without me (the water level only reaches half way up her calves). But I still respectfully follow the rules and make sure my kids follow them. Im always right by all my young kids' sides. Recently,
