Eastside Branch Library

I’m writing this for my mom! She recently went in to get help with online services for a job and whoever was working there was rude and horrible to her! My mother left crying and feeling so distraught! A worker named Eve, was rude and belittled my mom because she needed help! The lady proceeded to say that “all you Latinos she come in her not knowing anything”. Who the hell says that?!

Staff is very helpful and friendly. Nice clean library. Plenty of parking in 2 lots. Has the internet. Outside area to sit in.

This is a very small library where I had my slide on shoes infront of me and the librarian had me take out my earpods to tell me it was manditory to have my shoes on my feet. The slides and my feet were under a table where I was not near anyone else. Its rediculous that the library would even care so much let alone scare their staff into making a big fuss over something so small. I honestly can't see the problem with people being barefoot anywhere. How does that honestly hurt anyone? I did enjoy their outdoor space:)

I’ve been too dozens of libraries in between Santa Barbara and San Francisco as I’m doing a walking challenge and my end goal is San Diego. This library is by the far the most unfriendly one I’ve been too. The staff just stare at you and make you feel really uncomfortable. Should train them on social skills perhaps.

WOW! They did a remodeling over Christmas break into the New Year. New flooring it looks so much bigger! But, it's not. The kids area is much bigger the whole library is brighter it looks completely different! They still have 2 self serve check out machines. The adult side used to be for the children. It's a nice open relaxed bright section. Shelving for books against the walls. DVD/Blu ray section is on lowered shelves. I seem to always get good finds when it comes to DVD's at this library!! Nice sky light in the kids section! It's a warm sunny inviting place to be! Same library but, different Vibe! Check it out when you have the time!
